MooToo's adoption fee has been sponsered by a wonderful supporter!

MooToo is a gentle soul. This calm boy is quiet and peaceful. He would love a home that would provide him with a soft place to sleep and lots of TLC. If you are looking for a lap cap MooToo is boy for you.

cartter2

Carter - adult neutered male cat

Carter's adoption fee has been sponsored by a wonderful supporter!

Here we have another of our gentle, mature souls who was sadly left behind in his apartment without food or water when his owners moved out. Carter's hair was in an awful state when he first arrived at the shelter way back at the end of February, so his coat was shaved right down. As you can see, it's growing back in nicely and we are eager to place this gentleman into a loving home where he'll get the attention he deserves. Carter has a lovely buff orange with white coat, and is a very laid back and easy going sort of fellow. He does like to tell stories and would enjoy having a little chat with you!

duncan3

Duncan - Adult neutered male.

Duncan's adoption fee has been sponsored by a wonderful supporter!

Duncan was brought in as a stray on Jun. 22/11 after being found around Normandy & General Cresent. Unfortunately poor Duncan can only see out of his left eye but is in great health as he is neutered and up to date on all his shots. He is house trained and somewhat shy although curiousity does bring him out and about. One does have to move abit slow around him due to him having only partial vision. He is currently one of our free range cats and gets along well with other cats in the shelter.

frank3

Frank - 13 weeks

Frank was born in early October and is still full of kitten playfulness. He's also old enough to have learned that the best place to nap after a good run is on a loving lap.  Frank is a man of few words but has a purr that is quick to start and loud enough to let everyone know how happy he is.  He's living in foster care so if you are interested in meeting this gentle soul please call the shelter for a meet and greet .

How-To Adopt an Animal from the Moose Jaw Humane Society

  • Visit the Shelter during viewing hours to see if we have a pet you might be interested in adopting.
  • Fill out and submit the adoption application form.
  • We suggest that you spend some time with the pet you choose to be sure it is right for you. We provide a private room where you can spend some time visiting with your future pet. If you are considering adopting a dog, you might even decide to take it for a walk.
  • We recommend you bring in all family members to meet your potential pet and to check for compatibility.
  • If you are still unsure if the pet is right for you and your family, you may want to consider a trial period, for the pet to briefly live with you, before you complete the final adoption process.
  • To help you care for your pet, all the veterinary clinics in Moose Jaw and Assiniboia have agreed to provide you with a free vet-check within three working days after adoption. The purpose of this exam is to ensure that the animal is in good health. In the event that a medical problem is found, the owner is given the option to return the pet to the Shelter or keep the pet and pursue any necessary treatments. The vet-check is also a great opportunity to discuss feeding, vaccination requirements, spaying or neutering and so forth.

Click here to download an adoption application.

Once you are certain that you would like to adopt the pet you have selected,
you will need to visit the Shelter to complete the paperwork.
